My daughter had always struggled with reading and spelling at primary school, but nothing was ever really picked up by the teachers in a class of 30 students, she was just below average, well behaved and no red flags were alerted. As a parent you know when something just doesn’t add up! Ali assessed her in year 8 at high school and the results finally gave us an answer! The assessment was thorough, very detailed and gave us a way forward. We now have extra time in exams which has made all the difference, and an understanding of the areas she struggles with so that we can devise coping strategies together. Ali has even discussed her findings with the head of year. I would highly recommend the strategies, assessments and learning tools that Ali is able to devise for the individual learner and my daughter’s future looks much brighter knowing that dyslexia doesn’t mean lower academic achievement, in her case it just means allow me a bit more time!
